The top 10 list shows companies who can afford to buy offsets, not those who actually produce their own power on-site. My employer, Phoenix Press, of New Haven, CT is in the final stages of installing its own Northwind 100 kw wind turbine ON-SITE.

Since our annual revenues are tiny compared to the large organizations on the list (we are a customer of Mohawk Paper), we went further and actually produce (Fall '09) our own electricity for our printing operation. NO offsets here!

The Top 10 list should take into consideration the annual revenues of a company in relation to it's financial commitment towards ON-SITE electricity generation, not the purchasing of credits (permission-to-pollute).

It's good to see companies "get it" that pollution ultimately hurts their bottom line, but in the end, Top Performers can't all be multi-million dollar companies!

Thanks for this, Heidi. Looking at the list, there are numerous printing companies also.
